Facts about Glass Frog

 

Glass frogs are one of the weirdest animals in the animal kingdom because we can see their heart, arteries, eggs, digestive system and everything inside its body when it is upside down. As is obvious from its name, glass is a transparent material so these frogs are transparent. They are very rare in the wild and are arboreal. They have camouflage to hide when they are on the leaves of plants. There are about 160 species of Glass Frogs. They are found in Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia and Ecuador. Snakes, birds and some mammals are their predators.
