Dog is the first animal to be domesticated by humans. Dogs also have the best ability to smell and hear. That is why some dog breeds like the Doberman are trained for the police. Dogs are also the man's best friend. There are about 400 species of dog breeds. Some of them are Dachshund, Husky, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, the dog in this picture, Sheepdog, Poodle, Bulldog and a lot more. Dogs are also very playful and energetic to humans. Dogs respond to humans by looking at their faces, if they are happy or sad or whatever they also feel it. There are some species like the Poodle and Shih tzu which are hypoallergenic which means they have allergies and skin irritations. Others are non- hypoallergenic. The lifespan of a dog is about 12.7 years. Greyhounds are the fastest dog.
