Facts about Platypus

The most amazing fact is that Platypus do not have a stomach! Their food directly goes to their intestines and they are not broken down before going to their intestines.  Also known as the Duck-billed Platypus, someone has thought that they have the beak and feet of a duck and the body of beaver. They also have venom which can kill a dog and other small mammals but not humans. The Platypus is mainly found in Australia. The Platypus and the Echidna are the only 2 mammals which can lay eggs. They have webbed feet which help them to swim in water just like the duck. They are carnivores and feed on crayfish, shrimps and annelid worms.
